About Ben Robertson

Ben Robertson was born in 1955. He graduated from the Arkansas School for the Blind in 1973 and married Deborah in 1977. Ben has been legally blind since childhood, but in spite of his disability, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University, a Bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies from the Oklahoma Missionary Baptist College in Oklahoma City, OK and Faith Bible Institute in Monroe, Louisiana. Ben and Deb established their industrial supply company in 1989 and named it the Debben Company.

In 1955, Elvis’ career was just getting started and sadly ended at the age of 42. When Ben turned 42, he was asked by some ladies in his church to rent an Elvis costume and sing a few songs to the senior citizens for a Valentine’s Day Banquet. The response was overwhelming and the requests for more performances kept coming in. Ben and Deb have been traveling and performing at class reunions, banquets, office parties, church events, birthdays, fund raisers for charities, etc.

In all of Ben’s performances, he sings some gospel songs. While he enjoys singing the greatest hits of Elvis, his roots are in gospel music and he is always looking for churches to invite him to sing about Jesus and His great Salvation. You can order Ben’s gospel CD from this website.

Ben’s lovely wife Deborah is his inspiration and biggest fan. They were married in November 1977. “ When I married Deborah, I got the best. She is everything to me and does everything for me. Not only is she a devoted wife, mother and companion, she is my best friend.”
